St. Patrick’s Day

We had fun preparing for St. Patricks Day this year. Jamison was intricate in his design and contruction of his trap for the Leprechauns…but alas, those sneaky tricksters got away, but the pain was eased by the chocolate coins they left behind. They did make mischief, those little green guys. They turned the milk and toilet water green, made a mess in the kitchen, stole lots of marshmallows from the Lucky Charms, but we will try again next year. Jamison is already designing his trap…

I. am. in. love. It took some nerves of steel to get me to agree to our blind date, but it was love at first sight. I had to get over my pride of what Sully looked like (my name for the blue benz)…but NOW we have plenty of room…for your family AND mine! Our family has named this blue monster Sully, Blue Bell, the van, Babe, and the list goes on…..

Jason pulled the kids in a sled on the four wheeler. To say it was a hit is an understatement! They stayed out for almost three hours…a record for my kids. What a fun day in the snow!

Brotherly Love

Jamison is alone in a very girlie world in our home. He has the heart of a giant, but is often so frustrated with the girlie girl sisters of his. He craves blue, and boy, and rough and tumble things. But he knows what they like. Babies. Dolls. Doggies and dress up. He made his three sisters cloth dolls for gifts. Very girlie. And he thought long and hard about what each one would like, which ribbon screamed ‘Paige’ or which fabric was softest for Zoë. Shiny things were for SiSi. He even thought about the fact that googlie-eyes were not safe for Zoë, and drew hers on. This moment, where I spent time watching him LOVE, and think of his sisters preferences and desires, made my heart melt for this sweet BOY of mine…and I fell in love with him and being his mommy all over again. Here is some proof of his brotherly love.

Since Halloween fell on a Sunday this year, some friends invited us to Trick or Treat with them the day before in their neighborhood. We kinda crash a lot of things in their neighborhood…and we love them for including us! We had lots of fun…

In May we went on a trip to Utah to visit family while Mommy could still fly. Our last visit was before Paige was born! It was such a marvelous trip, and these are just a couple of pictures from the many we took. We stayed with Joseph, Katie and Claire in Provo for several nights, though not many pictures were taken. We wish we could be back right now!

The kids were great on our trip in May to Utah. They flew beautifully, got along great, and made it SOOo enjoyable!

We spent most of our time in Utah at Grandma and Grandpa Bell's house. A MUCH needed and LONG OVERDUE visit.

With the year anniversary of our dear Garrett's birthday approaching...I have a request. I am asking for friends and family suggestions or fun ideas to honor our little boy. We want some ways to celebrate him on his day, or his week, with our family and friends. I had great friends who suggested putting on a 5K in his honor, but that takes a LOT of work, and I am glad now I didn't commit to such an event, though it would have been wonderful. Another great idea has been to have balloons printed with his name, etc...and have friends and family from all over fill and release them on his birthday. Do you have any ideas? Many will be across the country, and ideas to include family and friends there would be nice. Or if you have an idea for just our small family, we will do our own thing also. Anyhow, if you have input for my request, comment away!

Paige had fun opening presents today. She got toys for HER..a concept that others in the house struggled with. SHe loves Max and Ruby, and grandma and grandpa Bell sent fun toys and books, which were toted around all day. YaYa and PaPa gave art supplies...Paige's favorite are drawing utensils, BLANK paper (no coloring books for this girl), and stickers, and she was spoiled by friends with many other goodies. Ariel, babies, and Elmo...what more could a girl turning TWO ask for?

Jamison Turns FOUR!

Jamison turned four! It is hard to believe that he is already so old! He had a superhero birthday party, with fun games, food, and friends. Yeah for FOUR!

Summer of 2009

There are not a lot of pictures to record this crazy summer we have had. I thought i would sum it up with just a few photos, then start with current events from our family.

Our new home....(it will NOT let me move the pic. Grrr.)

It was time to say goodbye...after only 8 days on the market, we sold our home that Jason and I bought when we got married and moved out almost to the week, 6 years later. It was a great first home. We still miss it. We had outgrown it, and felt prompted to sell, and sell it did.

With no picture to prove it, we lived in the Springhill Suites in the interim between our two homes for a week. Saturday through Thursday....we called it HOME. Jamison still rides by and says "we lived there mom!"

The new kitchen during move in. With TONS of help from old-ward/ new-ward friends, we moved the mile and a half...we had a great system! We moved in Thursday, and the following Tuesday Garrett was coming, so we worked fast!

Sierra visiting Garrett in the NICU. Garrett was born July 7th, and due to him having OI, passed away on July 9th.

Since then, we have been to the beach twice, hosted TONS of family and friends, and just trying to find some normalcy. Spiritually and Emotionally our family is doing fine, just recovering from so much company, so much change. This week will be the first time in a month that we spend two nights alone together in our house in a row. Crazy. We have been grateful for all the love and support and help with moving, Garrett's birth and passing...and now we are ready for FALL!

I said in January this would be a year of change for my family...but I had NO IDEA. I am tired. I do not think the change is over though, so we are just growing and laughing and holding on for the ride! Lots of love for summer 2009!

It has been awhile. Yes, this is me, the mom. We are alive. And well, in fact. I title this post blubber because I have been neglecting my blogging for so many reasons, that I want to blubber on and on about why, so that I might find peace in resuming the posts. As in tomorrow. New pictures, new cute sayings from the kids, etc.

I keep wanting to post, but those that know me know that I like order and to do things in order. The fact that I have not blogged in so long has prevented me from blogging...how CAN I blog about today when I have not reported for weeks, almost months??? Well, neglectful no more I will be. Why have we been absent you might ask? Hmm, let me start...

Putting a house on the market takes a TON of work...for all you out that do it often, God Bless You. I am not you. Jason has been working a lot as of late, and so with his absent support, but his support nonetheless...I started to tackle project....after project after project. We hired out a lot (the kitchen, the pressure washing, etc...) but still, I painted, A LOT. And cleaned, A LOT. and packed up 6 years worth of stuff I had no clue we had accumulated. We redid shutters and doors, walls, cleaned carpets, painted shed, etc. And yes, I still had the thrilling threesome. My poor kids. I have truley tried not to ignore them through this all. I don't have much of a choice. I did neglect them a tad, but mostly just worked from their bedtime until 1 or 2 in the morning. I am grateful it is all done though, for now, because I am 32 weeks pregnant and feeling it!

Garrett being all short and cute (he has skeletal displasia....dwarfism) in my belly means lots of doctor appointments. Thank goodness for YaYa! Going to the doctor more often than normal is draining....and in the next few weeks it will be twice a week. It might not seem like a lot, but getting childcare for the 3 year old, 2 year old, and 1 year old is. I still have to buy groceries and stuff, and DON"T do that with them...

OK, is that enough of a reason? To be absent that is? Make up some more and I am sure they are true too...hehe.

On to the celebrations:
Garrett is healthy and strong. I feel honored to have him joining our family. I am truthfully still worried he might not, and if it be so, then I provided his sweet spirit a body for a time, and will be at peace. It is getting close though til when we will meet him, and am EXCITED! I have had two close friends recently have babies, and I CANNOT WAIT to have a newborn. Yes, it is exhausting, and tiring, and exhausting, and did I mention tiring? But those first few precious weeks go so fast, and there is nothing like them. Those weeks with the other three I currently claim might not be so sweet, but I vow to do my best to make it so...

Jason is wonderful. While he is working a lot to support our growing brood, he is supportive, loving, playful, and peaceful. I couldn't do this life without his calmness and solidarity. His children adore him, as do everyone i know...including me. I love walking next to him through this life.

Our house is under contract! After less than two weeks on the market, a HARD market, we have a contract! I do not doubt this is the Lord's hand, watching out for me and my family. I worry that the day we will move (we DO have to find a house first) will be when I am in the hospital in labor...but pray my friends and family will still love us and help, even if what we are doing sounds crazy. Because it is. Now, onto finding that house.....(yet another reason i can't blog...i am looking at houses every moment I am on the computer).

Life. I have great friends. I have a great family. I have a great life. I feel blessed to walk in the shoes I do everyday, and sorrow for those whose lives are not as blessed as I seem to be. I truely do feel this way. There are many days I might gripe and complain (haha...about that 11 year old Durango)...but mostly i want to pinch myself and really ask "is this really my life, my kids, my husband, my family...?" The richness of the gospel in our lives makes it all the much sweeter, and my appreciation for my Savior is full. My life now is possible because of the atonement, and for this I will always be indebted.

Hm. So, now I can blog...how does that sound? OR, my KIDS can blog. About grandma, and grandpa, and their days of dancing, and cooking, and being yelled at if they touch the walls. :)

It is time to get on with LIFE.

Blog Backlog...starting with the Beach

We have been pushing through. Yes, we have been absent for a month, but we have been busy...too busy to blog. Here is a series of un-ordered non-sensical stuff to catch you up to what we have been doing all this time.

We went to the beach over spring break...the wind was fierce, whipping our legs with the sand. This is what Paige thought of her first time on the beach... Jamison loved swimming in the hotel pool...

The first day on the beach i was scared of the strong wind and not happy to have my legs sting. Who said this place was relaxing?

It wasn't all bad. We went to Fort Fisher Aquarium, spent time with Daniel and YaYa, and then had a successful outing on the sand. We ran from the waves...we will be ready for the beach again come Labor Day with the Bell family!

Happy Birthday Daddy

We have the best dad, ever. He dances with us, reads to us, snuggles with us, wrestles with us. He has the best hiding spots in Hide and Go Seek. He plays games with us and for us when we can't do it alone. He teaches us funny phrases. He takes us camping. He loves our mommy. He makes us laugh. He builds tall towers, takes care of the babies, puts together puzzles, and fixes us food. He works hard DAY and NIGHT so we can eat, sleep, and be taken care of. He even wipes our bums, and pulls up our pants when they get stuck. He can brush our hair. He pushes us on the swings. He is tall and strong, and spends time with us each individually. He has a crazy tickle hand, and even more tickle-y wiskers. Our Daddy serves faithfully in church, spending many hours away from us fulfilling his calling. He is good at playing chase, and even better at getting caught. He is smart. And funny. And we love him...more than he will ever know.

We sure are lucky...not many kids can say all that, and this is only the beginning...

February 26th...I turned one! I had a fun party with family and friends, and missed those that were far away!

I really got "into" opening my presents...

Yes, it is 18 degrees outside tonight...but we are still camping!

Ok, Ok, not really. In fact, when we camp we camp without running water, or a toilet, and here we have that! (but barely, mom says) Here is our kitchen in progress that cannot be walked on at all.

This is what our "kitchen" we live out of looks like in the mean time? Recognize the foyer?

Here is mom's fancy 1/2 bath sink where she does dishes. haha.

Middle of the Night

I must be going through a growth spurt. For a week or so now I wake up between 3-5 am and want to EAT. Mom recently took away the good stuff (read: boob juice) so that might have something to do with it....but mom isn't used to feeding me in the middle of night. She doesn't always look pleased to see me. But look at this FACE! Can you resist me? Even at 3:42 am? Here I am about to recieve a full bowl of oatmeal, a full bowl of yogurt, whole milk, then back to BED!

The Children's Museum

We have lots of wiggles. We wiggle all day, and wiggle all night, so mom has been looking for extra ways and places for us to get all those wiggles out.

Mom has this new orange card that means we can go to the children's museum whenever we want, and we beg everyday.

She smiles when we ask, because when we leave, we look like this.

This was the time we FINALLY got ready and headed outside to play in the SNOW! Dad worked hard to make us snowballs to throw (think a snow 'dusting') and we explored with mom through the woods.

Afterwards we headed in for hot chocolate and cartoons! Mom wishes we had about 4 more inches...maybe next time!

My story of the day:
There I was, coloring my dinosaur picture and trying to do a REAL GOOD job for mom...i even was staying in the lines. It was a three color triceratops. Then they bugged me. You know. WIth the sacrament tray. Mom nudged me, and I tried to ignore her....the horns were almost all filled in. I was busy. SO
I just tried to take the bread without missing a beat...you know...with my mouth....like a dog.
What? You're not supposed to do this? You are supposed to use your hand (mom says your right one)?
Well, mom tried to hide her laugh, and so did the Priesthood bretheren who had the tray....but i saw them laugh. I even HEARD them laugh...
